A Kitchener standby on Highland Road ... very busy all the time ... usually a 5-10 min wait ... but worth it ... the Asian lady who owns or runs the franchise has been there for at least 8 years and keeps things moving ... food always great ... for a down easterner (Halifax) ... it's always nice every now and then to have a feed of fish 'n chips (haddock every time) ... love the unlimited fries ... just wish the cole slaw side was larger ... that being said great food ... Went on Mothers Day worrying that we wouldn't get a table and wait for hours. The kind hostess mentioned that there was a wait but we were welcome to sit and eat at the bar.
We did and it was one of the best lunch experiences I've ever had. The restaurant was clearly busy, but the bartender made time to take care of us, engage in conversation, and overall ensure that we had a great lunch. He was pretty cute too..;) Everyone was in a great mood, everything was clean, and despite the volume, the staff were awesome.
I look forward to making a repeat visit and sampling other items on the apparently new menu....5 stars.

This place has the BEST Tzatziki sauce ever, it is SO good. I always get extra servings and put it on everything, because it tastes amazing with all the flavours.
My friend and I usually get the same thing and share. Their portions are reasonable sizes for the prices they offer. I love that they come with rice and salad :)
The server is also friendly and is always smiling eventhough he is conservative. Their interior reflects warm tones and even the patio is a good place to eat.
Try the stuffed eggplant, it is absolutely delicious! My absolute favourite :)

My friend and I have been to, The Spot Restaurant, 3 times now. Twice during Covid-19. These two times were takeout only, but we did sit at the picnic tables provided. The third time we were allowed to sit indoors. Every time the service has been excellent. The food even better. We plan to visit again.

One of the best kept secrets of Kitchener. Capers has amazing east coast pub fare with an extra edge. This restaurant embodies the phrase "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", as it brings the soul of Nova Scotia into the heart of Kitchener.
You would most likely pass by this little gem, but it's a hidden treasure that'll make you wonder how you never knew it existed.It has the perfect low key atmosphere well-suited for any occasion. Whether it be a first date or a gathering of old friends, Capers makes everyone feel at home.
Definitely one of my favorite go-to spots to dine in Kitchener!
