Met a dear friend at Lanterna for lunch recently. Couldn’t have asked for better service or food! Authentic Italian prepared by a charming, warm Italian gentleman. We started with a Calabrese salad, then shared an oven-baked pizza and finished with homemade tiramisu. The house red and cappuccino were a perfect accompaniment. I discovered this restaurant a couple months after the new owners took over. They have created the most welcoming atmosphere that makes me feel at home. The food is fresh and delicious. The service is absolutely fantastic. It would be a mistake to drive past without stopping in to see for yourself! Meet the wonderful people and have a great home cooked meal. And It would be a shame not to try their fresh pecan butter tarts for dessert. I always take a box to go. Read more
