After years of eating at Under the Volcano we had another great meal once again. The margaritas are always good,as well as the chips and salsa before the meal. I tend to stick with the spicy foods whereas my wife prefers it relatively mild. My wife had the beef burrito and I the blackened chicken chimichanga (made extra hot). The desserts are fantastic but my favorite has to be the deep fried ice cream. The new location is still being settled into it seems but I'm looking forward to seeing it all finished. Read more

My family and I have been coming to Grog's for years now. It's a great place to come to enjoy friends, food, and have a laugh. The service at Grog's is unbelievable great! Everyone is so nice and brings a positive atmosphere to the restaurant. It is always a good idea to make reservations before going to Grog's because it is always busy, in a good way. The location is just outside of the Grand Bend Strip, about a 10 minute drive with a lot of parking. It's a great place to go after a long day at the beach. Now, the food at this restaurant is fantastic. It is always fresh and delicious. My favourite dish there is the panzarotti with their famous zany bread, which I highly recommend. All the dishes they have on the menu are prepared in a timely manager and it never disappoints. Grog’s is a great place to bring your family and friends and enjoy all the wonderful people and food. I work for a huge chain restaurant, and am sick of frozen and pre-packaged food. The Family Circle is part of a dying breed of restaurant actually serving fresh and homemade food. A pleasant stop if you are in Ilderton, and especially if you are a fan of a pub atmosphere and cask conditioned ale. I've been here several times, and I usually stick with the nachos because they are a great value and are also quite tasty. But I have had the Steak and Guinness Pie which is also quite the treat. Service has always been great when I have been. I always get a few pints of cask ale when I go, and am never disappointed. It is always fresh and well kept. Rich is a true cellarmaster and knows his beer. As a result, this is a destination for lovers of true cask ale, and the only place in the south west of Ontario to try this unique style of ale. The atmosphere is comfy, nice booths, a bar to sit at, a seperate room with televisions for those inclined to watch a game, and there is also a large screen in the main room for the larger events. Overall, highly a recommended stop if you are in Ilderton or area. No where else near here can you get cask ale, great service, and really tasty food. I'll be back! Read more
