We've hit others and they were bad experiences with oil dripping off the cod pieces that had to be dabbed with a napkin to see through it. This place is always busy, and their fish burgers are messy but a good choice. The all you can eat fish and chips is a good deal whereas, others disappoint. Love this little seafood place in Newport Village. Not sure, but it appears to be family operated because you certainly get that feeling while in there. Had the fresh salmon patties last week and they were delicious. A little bit more expensive than the regular grocery store, but worth it. We often pick up mussels from here as well and they are always quality. If you're not sure what to make for dinner...and craving seafood. Great British-themed pub in Newport Village! During the Fall and Winter months it is often packed with a casual, yet fun crowd all weekend long. There is live entertainment on the weekends, which can be fun as well. The servers are attentive and the food is generally good (for pub food). I recommend sticking to the more traditional dishes like the stuffed baby yorkies, Guinness soup, shepherd’s pie, and the steak and Guinness pie (my fave!). We were there this past weekend for the first time in awhile and we realized why we love it so much – it’s that comfortable pub down the street when the weather is bad and you don’t feel like cooking!
