The shop provides a variety of items from door handles and cabinetry to bathroom accessories and front-entry hardware such as mailboxes and house numbers. And with goods from over 80 different vendors, BanburyLane offers unparalleled selection and variety.
Lynne Drover’s been a part of Banbury Lane since 1989, when she joined former work colleague Peter Howell in the venture. The store started out as a one-person, 500-square-foot space while the young owners juggled entrepreneurship and new families. Over the years it’s expanded to 6,000 square feet, with offices and storage space. “It’s totally evolved over time,” Lynne says. The showroom is constantly evolving too, with Lynne incorporating pieces from both vendors and customer suggestions. “If someone comes in and is interested in something we don’t currently deal with, we look into it and see if it’s something we can get. And sometimes that turns into lines that we show in the showroom,” she explains.
We have worked with Banbury Lane for years and have always had the best experience. The staff is very knowledgeable with the products and what will work best for every job. An appointment is suggested if you want to have one on one service and assistance in finding the items that you are after. They do have the largest selection in Calgary and if you are looking for cost effective cabinet hardware or custom pieces made specifically for you they will be able to find exactly what you are after.
A little overpriced but if you have expensive taste, you might like it. The service on the other hand- ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL!!! From the minute you walk in, they make you feel like you are bothering them. They act as if you don't belong in their store. I wouldn't recommend this store to ANYONE who is having a good day!!!
